Dear Parents and Caregivers,
We know that raising young children is full of emotion, and sacred moments—sometimes all in the same breath. In the busyness of everyday life, finding time and space for prayer can feel difficult, even when our hearts long for it.
That’s why we created Firefly Prayers—a gentle, joy-filled resource to help you and your
preschool-aged child grow in faith together, one small light at a time.
Fireflies – moments of beauty, brightness, light – are a reminder: God is near. God is listening. And God's Spirit is with your family—right in the middle of bedtime stories, snack time prayers, and quiet moments of wonder.
Firefly Prayers are designed to be short, simple, and soul-stirring. You can use them in the
evening as a wind-down ritual, during a walk in the yard, or anytime your child wants to talk to
God. And like fireflies in a jar, each prayer captures a little bit of light, something your child can hold onto as they grow.
We also see this resource as a beautiful connection to the season of Pentecost—a time when God’s Spirit came like wind and flame, and filled hearts with courage, love, and light. In a way, every firefly prayer is a flicker of Pentecost in your home. Each glow is a reminder that your child is already held in God’s Spirit—and you, as a parent, are too.
We hope Firefly Prayers becomes a sweet part of your family’s rhythm and a meaningful step in your child’s lifelong faith journey.
With the fire of the Spirit and the love of Christ,
